Originally brewed to mark the Queen's Coronation in 1953. this golden barley wine proved so popular that it has been brewed ever since. It is comparable in strength to the beer produced by Tudor brewers during the reign of Elizabeth I. It has won many prizes and. at the International Brewers' Exhibition 1968. was awarded the Championship Gold Medal. Regular drinkers simply asked for a 'Lizzie'.

This is Harveys bottled popular winter brew (Old Ale) and we renamed it in 1999 to avoid confusion. This dark. full-bodied beer combines sweetness and strength to produce an exceptionally smooth palate for a discerning public.

This is the first brew of the year of Harveys Seasonal Ales and it is now brewed to celebrate St. Valentines day. First brewed to celebrate the return of Rodins famous statue of the same name to it's "home town" Lewes for a summer long exhibition in 1999 this beers popularity made it obvious that it would become an annual brew. It is the only beer which Harveys produce using oats in the mash. creating a unique mealy character.

Brewed to commemorate the bicentenary of Thomas Paine's "The Rights of Man". It is thought that Paine help draught the American Declaration Of Independence. His work still ranks among the best sellers of all time. America celebrates Independence day on July 4th each year. CAMRA has designated July as a celebration of British Independent Brewers of which Harveys is one. Where ever your sympathies lie it is worth raising a glass of Tom Paine. A dry hopped strong pale ale awarded the Silver Medal at the BBI Awards in 1993.
