Our porter is named after the native cattle of the region, in line with our main theme, of all that's best in this area of South West Scotland. The "Black Galloway" is a hardy hill breed, much sought after for their unique qualities. As the name suggests, this is a very dark brew, which derives it's colour from the abundance of deeply roasted "Maris Otter" barley and chocolate malts utilised in the brewing process. This is a robust drink, which can be ideal as a winter warmer. It embodies a high proportion of nutrients, which is both pleasurable and invigorating.
